Stunning awards produced for the 5K Totley Time Trials 2024

The inaugural Totley AC 5K Time Trials began in April earlier this year and concluded at the end August with over 60 runners having competed the race series. The series is based on 5 routes within a few miles of Totley in Sheffield. All the off-road 5k routes were out-and-back, and all were VERY hilly!

The race rules were simple. Each of the five summer months from April and August has its own race. Each race has a ‘race day’ on a Friday within that month where runners race together. If you can’t make the race day, you can still run the course at any time within its respective month and submit your time. Within the series there were 2 main competitions – a standard race (first past the post) and the time-bonus race where runners are awarded a bonus based on their finish position.

At the end of the series, besides the standard races, awards were also given for the most improved runner and the several Lost Sheep. A final prize was awarded for the runner who completed the All-in-One route – a run which was separate to the main race but linked all the 5 main routes up in a 22.5km with about 520 metres of ascent circular route.

Unique, cost-effective, and beautiful laser-engraved race prizes

For this first year of the Totley Time Trials we were asked to produce race prizes which were not only great looking, but also practical and cost-effective. We suggested laser-engraved slate coasters which not only look stunning but are also practical. Each of the coasters we produced came complete with rubber feet to make sure they didn’t damage anyone coffee table!

The race organiser was more than happy with the results, and the prize winners were also over the moon with them!
